The Pyramid of Cestius

You are able to walk with ease to the nearby Pyramid of Cestius and marvel at the sight of a pyramid within the old walls of Rome. Also in the vicinity is "La Bocca della Verita", "The Mouth of Truth" as well as the Caracalla Baths and Circus Maximus to name but a few. 

On Sunday mornings you can visit the largest market in Rome, Porta Portese which sells a large array of items and only 10 minutes walk from the hotel. From there, why not wander up to the beautiful area of Trastevere with its trendy boutiques, wine bars, restaurants and pubs which line the quaint cobbled streets all leading to the main Piazza.  Where, throughout the day Romans and tourists alike gather.

The majority of Rome’s tourist attractions and monuments can all be reached either on foot or a short distance by bus or underground.

If you wish to travel further a field there are numerous trains leaving from Ostiense, maybe you fancy a trip to the sea, only a short train ride away. Termini is only 4 stops away on the underground line ‘B’ and in 30 minutes from there you will find yourself in the mountains.
